Etude House had recently a free shipping offer for orders above $50 (but below ~1.6 kg total weight) AND the mask sheets were half price, only $0.48! I have tried the Etude House masks before and I liked them. I also wanted to try a couple of other things from the shop and I just couldn't resist the free shipping offer!
Here is what I received!
Here is what I received!
- Mask sheets x 34 (I bought 1-2 out of almost all variations to try!)
- Dear Girls Oil Control Pact
- Moonlight In Spoon x2
- Oh Happy Day Hand Bouguet cream in COTTON
- Green Tea Nose Patch x2
- Baking Powder Pore & BB Deep Cleansing Foam
- I Need You, Honey Sunshine In Spoon
- S.M.O Coconut
- My Castle Hand Cream (ICE FROZEN)
- Etude Hairpin & Pen (free gift)
The total of my order was $50.32 that is around £35 and arrived after 2.5 weeks. Everything was packed very well in bubbly wrap. I am happy with the shipping times and the way everything was packed! However, there are a couple of things that Etude House could improve:
- Customer service - Soon after I placed my order I realised that the order was high and it was very probably that I would have to pay customs. I read the Terms and Conditions and immediately emailed Etude House asking to cancel my order. My order was still being processed and according to their webpage, I was on time to cancel it. Almost one month after that email I still haven't received a reply to that email, not even an apology for not dealing with it earlier. A bit disappointed. At least I didn't pay any customs at the end!
- Samples - There were no samples at all... I have ordered from other shops, and I have placed smaller orders than this one, and I have received samples. They don't have to send me any samples, but it would be nice if I had the chance to try some of their products before buying the full size.
- Hairpin - The free hairpin was 21 g and was added on top of what you had already bought. So if you were just at the limit of 1.6 kg, this hairpin could put your order to the higher shipping tier and you would lose your free shipping... (and anyway this hair pin is not that great). It would be nicer of them if customers were informed about this or if they didn't count the pin's weight.
Would I order again from Etude House? Probably not, just because I don't want to pay any customs. Next time I want to buy an Etude House product I will place a small order in a shop where the shipping is low.
